OVER 60’S CHRISTMAS SPECIAL
Almost 1.5 million elderly people feel more lonely at Christmas than at any other time of year, this event is our way of trying to help bring that number down in our community.

To combat loneliness on Christmas day we’ve teamed up with local charity The Furzedown Project, to deliver a Christmas to remember for the elderly in Wandsworth and Lambeth borough. In true Mann’s Got Munch style, we will be putting on a Christmas feast, along with Bingo and other activities for our guests who would otherwise be spending it alone.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
* This is a none-profit event so we're kindly asking for donations via our go fund me to help us create the best experience! All the money will go towards ingredients, decorations, venue hire, bingo prizes and transporting guests. We would also love to be able to provide a take-home goodie bag for those that attend.

* We are also looking for volunteers to join our dream team in the kitchen & on the ground to keep our guests entertained.
* Business owners - we are also looking for bingo prize donations, whether it be a voucher, hamper, a bottle of booze, pamper gift or goodie bag treats.

About The Furzedown Project: The charity has been running for 47 years for people aged 50 and over from London Borough of Wandsworth to increase their sense of well-being and reduce social isolation. They run a lively programme of over twenty social, educational, recreational, and health-promoting activities at the centre. As well as a Befriending service for those that can’t leave their homes and are in need of conversation.

Tickets on sale now, DM to book! Saturday 18th June 4pm- Late with my faves at . Buzzing for this one, giving me all the garden party feels. There will be DJ’s, a full cocktail bar, fire pit, menu from the grill and plenty of vibes. Come join us for munch and a dance 💚

£25ph includes:

WELCOME PUNCH

A: Smoked chicken leg, grilled balsamic onion and green sauce
B: Grilled masala lamb shoulder, goats cheese raita and pickled pomegranate.
C: Shroom kebabs, charred miso cabbage and peanut chilli oil.
All served on fluffy flatbread.

LAMB MOMOS AND BAD BOI CHUTNEYS FT for

Celebrating Easter with a not so classic lamb dish. A Nepalese favourite of mine, Momos are a banging filled dumpling that are traditionally steamed but can also be deep fried!

These babies are kept juicy with fatty lamb mince and are fragrant with warming spices. Paired with my two knockout chutneys its a party in your mouth...who even wants a roast nowadays?! Full recipe now live on . Let us know if you give them a go!

Slow cooked melt in the mouth beef, earthy black pudding and baby pickled onions to cut through the richness; its a fiya combo. My take on the traditional Moroccan soup/stew usually served during Ramadan. There are many different variations some with lamb, some with egg but mine is unintentionally vegan with charred peppers and it slaps so hard you don't miss the meat. This little beauty has a base of tomato, onion and celery, its laced with toasted spices, warming fresh ginger, garlic and thickened with lentils and chickpeas.

I finish with a drizzle of cumin seed oil, dollops of silky hummus and fresh coriander. All it needs is some warm flatbreads and you got yourself a cracking winter warmer.

SUJUK AND WHITE BEAN STEW
Spicy fermented beef sausage in a smokey bean stew. I use turkish tomato/red pepper paste ‘biber domates karışık şalça’ to add depth to the sauce, garnished with a lil red onion, parsley and sumac. Get yourself down to your local Turkish grocer to replicate this pengness👌🏽 Recipe below serves 4

Ingredients from
5 sujuk sausages cut into 1 inch slices
2 cans of white beans of your choice in water
1 onion finely diced
2 garlic cloves finely diced
1/2 tsp cumin
1tsp cumin seeds
1tsp smoked paprika
1/2tsp paprika
1tsp pul biber or chilli flakes
3tbsp tomato and pepper paste (Biber domates karışık şalça)
4 cups of water
Salt and black pepper
Olive oil
Garnish:
Red onion finely sliced
Parsley
Sumac
Lemon juice

Method: In a large saucepan fry off the sliced sujuk in 2tbsp of olive oil until brown, remove from the pan and add in the diced onion and garlic until softened in the remaining fat. Add in the spices for a few min then cook off the paste before adding the water and beans along with all their beanie water. Simmer on low with the lid on for 10 minutes, then remove the lid and add the fried sujuk. Simmer with the lid off for another 10 minutes until you reach the ideal consistency (add more water if you want it looser or reduce for longer if you want it thicker). Season to your liking and garnish. Serve with flatbread or borek if your feeling xtra.
