A very exciting link-up that might bring us a mixture of percussive club pressure, some genre collisions and few unexpected curveballs.

Shah Rud (fka Yallah) is a Kurdish DJ and promoter based in Tallinn, co-founder of q***r nightlife hub HUNGR and the curator behind Shelter 🕊 — a label, party series, and ever-evolving cultural platform. His sound moves across percussive club territories, from shaabi and techno to gqom and deconstructed rhythms.

Wash Electra is a DJ, promoter, radio host, and founder of _inklingroom_ His multigenre sets move between leftfield bass, house and techno, rooted in low-end pressure, playful energy and a love for the unexpected.

While her DJ sets are predominately dark and fast-paced, the chief aim is to instigate bodies to activate. Crucial key words are melancholic, broey, cringy club edits of global hits drenched in s*x appeal. Motion-driven sets fusing hybrid club, avant-garde, jersey, baile funk, dubstep, edm and trap is what makes it.

Ever since catching it at last year we’ve been set on bringing it to inklingroom — a deeply electrifying collision of everything we love about live performance: tension and release, euphoria and abrasion, ritual and disorientation.

The project of composer, producer and performance artist Cally Statham, plus44Kaligula folds voice, movement and a peculiar microphone-as-sculpture installation into a strange, hypnotic world of avant-pop mutations and spectral electronics. A performance that feels suspended somewhere between theatrical séance, unstable club experiment and sonic hallucination.

Described by CTM Festival as “a kaleidoscope of profound alienated beauty,” plus44Kaligula has build a reputation for thrilling live performances, working closely with artistic partner, stage designer Emmanuel Biard ( , Aisha Devi, Koreless). This collaboration transforms stage into ritual, fusing sound and light into an experience that Beats Per Minute at Rewire called “a sense tingling, ballistic” eruption, attracting celebrity fans including Cillian Murphy. Having established her monthly ‘Just A Thought, with +44K’ visual radio show hosted exclusively on instagram, this summer Statham brings the show to NTS. Also one of Manchester Collective Experimenta 2025 composers in residency, Statham’s work engages with class, education, and access to opportunity networks — using music as a metaphor for sociolinguistics, and a tool for emancipation. plus44Kaligula requires those that engage to look beyond the wall and refocus.

The Back of Her Neck

The Back of Her Neck follows a person caught in an intimate dance with their shame. Reframing shame as an energising state, this solo explores how remembering, exemplifying and being witnessed in shame can reap pleasure. Elisabeth is researching the coexistence of vulnerability and complete deception in live performance, distorting recognisable gestures of intimacy to create atmospheres that are both evocative and uncanny. She’s exploring how inauthenticity can be as resonant, and exposing as vulnerability, working with cycles of alienation and reconciliation that can sustain and make evident the performer’s agency within the vulnerable themes explored.
mulenga is a choreographer, dancer and Young Associate alumni creating provocative, autobiographical work that examines themes surrounding grief, dysfunctional intimacy, and hauntology. Influenced by her Pentecostal Christian upbringing, her choreography embraces supernaturalism, ritual, and the sensation of constant surveillance. Mulenga’s work is rooted in a deep awareness of the interplay between physical sensation and emotional reaction. She has presented work at venues such as Sadler’s Wells, Her recent work, Christ Alone, premiered at Sadler’s Wells in 2024, and was restaged at the in October 2025.
