Below, you will find all the scores for the Ambassador Tango Cup 2024.

We would like to once again congratulate the Champions in the Senior Tango category, Ann Tradigo & Jerry Kiang, as well as the triple Champions in Tango Pista, Vals, and Milonga, Masha Kyuseva & Graeme Winestone.

We were delighted by the quantity and quality of competitors and could not be more grateful for the hard work of our amazing panel of judges.

In the next competitions at the embassy, we plan to divide the categories into smaller groups to facilitate the dancing and make things easier for the judges.

This year, we introduced a more advanced scoring system compared to the simple system we used in the past. The new Weighted Score system ensures that all judges have equal influence on the final results, preventing any one judge’s exceptionally high or low scores from disproportionately affecting the outcome.

While the judges’ scores yesterday were very balanced, which minimized any discrepancies, this is not always the case. Therefore, despite being more labor-intensive, the Weighted Score system is a fairer approach.

That said, we must apologize for an error we made regarding the third place in Tango Pista. We mistakenly relied on the simple score system, but the Total Weighted Score confirms that Dianna Lo & Matthew Courey are the rightful holders of the 3rd position.

It is reassuring to note that there was little difference between the rankings produced by the simple score system and the Weighted Score system for the Champions and runner-ups. However, in future competitions, the Weighted Score system may yield different results if the judges’ scores are less balanced.

Once again, many thanks to all the competitors, judges, and the entire team behind this event for making it a success.

We are thrilled to see the continued growth of the 𝑳𝙤𝒏𝙙𝒐𝙣 𝙏𝒂𝙣𝒈𝙤 𝙒𝒆𝙚𝒌 🤩
This year, we have organized five distinct sections: a Circuit of Local Milongas, a Marathon, a Championship, Workshops with the Judges, and a Tango Concert. As the event has expanded significantly, we are currently 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒔 to assist with the organization of the 9𝙩𝒉 𝒆𝙙𝒊𝙩𝒊𝙤𝒏 of the London Tango Week.
