Time slipped past us lately as we’ve been meaning to do a post to say massive thanks all the artists who played and the sound heads that attended our last sunny outdoor ARCANE event at 🖤
We raised £779 quid for which we’re sure will make a positive impact for their service users!!
The vibe was there exactly what we were after, spurring us on to curate our autumn/ winter programme back in the basement!

ARCANE founders, Torn Relics will round off Sunday night with a DJ set, aimed to get you moving after a day of experimental live performances.
Torn Relics are the London based duo composed of Romek Boyer aka Rommek (Blueprint, 47, Leyla Records, Natural Selection, MORD…)
and violinist & bodhrán player, Aimée Mullen. Their compositions are inherently cinematic, offering doom-laden soundscapes, merged with ethereal vocals & tribalistic rhythms, offering the listener an abundance of images which comes to life through the pair’s energetic live performances.
Combining the use of electric violin, vocals, modular synths, guitar & drum machines the body of their work experiments with noise, inhabiting the space between reality and hallucination.
The pairs work has been released on renowned underground labels such as Sacred Court, Leyla records and Instrument Of Discipline..
Notable performances since their inception span cities across Europe including, Berlin, Athens, Riga (Latvia), Sofia (Bulgaria), Manchester, London, Birmingham to name but a few.

On 4th of August Alexander Tucker will live perform his 2023 album - Fifth Quarter (released on subtext) featuring Archive material from Derek Jarman, Keith Collins and Dungeness.

Tucker is a multidisciplinary artist working across music, assemblage, painting, comics, collage, sculpture, film and live performance.
Formally trained as a painter at the Slade School of Fine Art, Tucker went onto produce a series of critically acclaimed solo albums for renowned Chicago based record label Thrill Jockey and All Tomorrow’s Parties before recording as MICROCORPS for Alter Records.
He also has a number of collaborative projects including avant-pop, electronic duo Grumbling Fur (with Daniel O’Sullivan); the Grumbling Fur Time Machine Orchestra, who have improvised with Charlemagne Palestine, Mark Titchner and Neil Campbell, and tape loop radiophonic project Imbogodom (with Daniel Beban), recorded at BBC Bush House. Tucker has toured extensively in the UK, Europe, New Zealand and the U.S. In 2023 Tucker embarked on a posthumous collaboration with the late Keith Collins, the partner and collaborator of q***r film maker Derek Jarman. Using Collins archival recordings and recorded in Jarman’s Prospect Cottage on Dungeness, Kent.

Bridging the gap between his fine art background and as a singer songwriter, improviser and electronics composer, Tucker continues to collaborate with both fine artists and experimental musicians. Alexander Tucker lives and works in London.

He has performed across Europe in countries including Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland and England and has releases on the following labels: Opal Tapes (UK), Aurora Borealis (UK), An Trinse (UK), Champion Version (UK), Borders Of Known (GE), Modern Bon (DE) and Attenuation Circuit (DE).

London based purveyor of “miserable electronics”
Kinn, finds their origins in the class struggles of early 00s Tottenham. Influences pulled from the post-rock soundtrack of this era are unmistakable among Kinn’s contemporary electronic aesthetics, deft musicianship, and state-of-the-art sound design. Unabashed in their creative ambition, Kinn’s tongue-in-cheek ‘dread-voyeurism’ is underpinned by a palpably sincere vulnerability that seeps through their dynamic and rewardingly dense records.

Kinn has performed at acclaimed venues such as the Southbank Centre, Cafe OTO, Fold and Berlin’s HKW with an ever-evolving roster of onstage collaborators.
