π OCD AWARENESS WEEK 2026 π
11β17 October | Twisted Proudly Supports OCD Awareness Week
At Twisted, we believe mental health deserves understanding, compassion and respect.
This week, weβre showing our support for everyone living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), while helping to raise awareness of a condition that is often misunderstood.
π OCD is more than a preference for cleanliness, organisation or routine.
OCD is a recognised mental health condition that can affect people in many different ways.
It can involve unwanted, intrusive thoughts and compulsions. Some compulsions are visible, while others happen entirely within someoneβs mind.
For many people, OCD can affect everyday activities, relationships, education, work and overall wellbeing.
Not everyoneβs experience of OCD looks the same, and not every struggle is visible.
π Understanding makes a difference.
We can all help challenge the misconceptions surrounding OCD by listening without judgement, avoiding stereotypes and respecting peopleβs individual experiences.
Rather than assuming we understand what someone is going through, we can take the time to learn.
π There is hope and support available.
OCD is treatable. Evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), can help people manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.
Recovery and progress look different for everyone.
At Twisted, our message is simple:
You deserve to be heard.
You deserve understanding.
You deserve access to appropriate support.
And your experiences deserve to be taken seriously.
Letβs use OCD Awareness Week to encourage kindness, improve understanding and help create a world where people feel more comfortable talking about their mental health.
