The organ will be fully serviced and ready for hire by September for those who need organ practise/a lovely organ teaching room.

Delighted to have filmed this for Clive Osgood, Composer and Convivium Records - a lovely session with excellent musicians!

Taken from Osgood’s Stabat Mater, the piece is performed by soprano Grace Davidson, violinist Jack Liebeck, the Choir of Royal Holloway and the London Mozart Players

The last of the removals done (trying to work around the chaos is proving fun…) and you can see quite lot of studio 1.0 as well as 2.0 now! It’s like looking at a history book!

It’s a strange feeling ripping everything out of the studio because it feels like we are leaving.

Those of you who know the studio story since the early days know we took a huge gamble and put all this in before we’d actually bought the place, because we wanted to be able to support local musicians and give them somewhere to create. Now so much of what is happening is because we are able to give the place permanence, but before we can do that we basically have to pull it back to where it was when we converted it (decoratively speaking) and I have to admit it feels a little strange! I’m really excited to be able to share what it will look like when it’s done though.

We are still open while renovations are taking place but please excuse us if it feels a bit bare bones for a while, it’s weirding me out too 🤣

STUDIO UPDATE - The external phase 1 is now complete (we will be painting once the weather improves). Now we move onto phase 2 (internal remodelling). Please excuse us if we seem a little transitional over the next couple of weeks - furnishings may be missing and things may seem to be in weird places. We hope you will love the final result once it’s done though - say goodbye to the peacock green!

New studio frontage is looking lovely….

🤣 looks grim but will make for a much better experience once done, please excuse our appearance whilst we make these upgrades over half term. There will be some closures as well, but we’ll get everything back on line as fast as possible!

First recording of the year. 2024 was a big year for location recordings but it’s so lovely to be lovely to be back in the studio for a while.

It’s going to be a BIG year for the studio main space with lots of upgrades planned…
