This piece explores class struggle, romanticism and power dynamics. Set in the underbelly of a mine owner’s countryside estate, we watch closely-guarded dreams and desires begin to come to light over the course of one precious night. In her father’s kitchen, the impulsive and irresistible Miss Julie becomes entangled with her father’s well-read chauffeur, John. While the action of the play takes place, Christine, the head maid and John’s fiancée, has her own discoveries while trying to keep her head down and earn an honest living.

Ms. Julie is directed and adapted by Edward Neale. This will be both his directing and writing debut at the Golden Goose Theatre. Edward hopes to make a name for himself within the industry by creating thought-provoking productions that explore all elements of the human experience, both beautiful and painful alike.

THIS WEEK, 3RD - 5TH JULY 🎷

Presented by the acclaimed theatre company :DELIRIUM: in collaboration with Lauren Reed Productions, MILES. is a powerful new production that traces the life, legacy, and genius of jazz legend Miles Davis. At its heart is the creation of the groundbreaking 1959 album Kind of Blue, the best-selling jazz record of all time and a pivotal moment in music history. More than just a biographical piece, this production is a deep dive into the soul of an artist whose influence transcended genres and generations.

Through :DELIRIUM:’s signature multi-disciplinary theatrical approach, the show blends narrative, movement, and visual storytelling to create an immersive, dream-like journey into Davis’s complex world—a world of innovation, addiction, brilliance, and transformation. The story explores how Davis pushed boundaries, shaped new sounds, and ultimately redefined what jazz could be.

Adding to the atmospheric magic of the piece is live music by the UK’s leading jazz trumpeter, Jay Phelps, whose electrifying presence and virtuosity channel the spirit of Davis himself. The fusion of live music and theatre evokes the smokey jazz clubs and fevered late-night recording sessions of mid-century New York, transporting audiences directly into the era that gave birth to cool.

MILES. is not just a celebration of an album, but a portrait of a man who became a symbol of artistic freedom. It is a must-see for jazz lovers, theatre-goers, and anyone moved by the sound of revolution.

26-year-old spoken-word artist, Rene, is navigating the aftermath of her first q***r relationship, which ended when her ex, who was grappling with her own closeted identity, failed to fully embrace q***rness and in turn, their connection. Now single, Rene embarks on a new chapter of self-discovery, approaching dating with a renewed perspective. She begins to unravel the question of who she truly is and what she wants in a partner.

This comedy explores the complexities of coming out, first relationships, lost love, setting boundaries and choosing peace over persistence.
