It was such a pleasure to take to the stage at for my demonstrations for 🌸

Across three demonstrations, I created designs ranging from an stately urn arrangement to a elegant summer hand-tied bouquet - each inspired by Downton Abbey and crafted in the same refined style as our Lord Grantham mannequin installation at the show 🌿

It was an absolute honour to bring The Earl of Grantham from Downton Abbey to life in flowers for the exhibit at the Fleurs De Villes show at Kew Gardens! 🌿

My inspiration behind the design was if Lord Grantham’s tailor was an English country garden.

Layers of palm husk, bleached ruscus and delicately applied rose petals evoke the texture and drape of fine cloth, while subtle accents of lilac, peach and soft yellow blooms are woven into the design to lend a touch of playfulness without compromising its elegance.
The figure stands upon a lush, naturalistic base evoking an English country garden in high summer. Flanking the Earl, woven baskets of varying sizes overflow with abundant seasonal flowers - delphiniums, garden roses, dahlias and complementary varieties - in a harmonious pastel palette. Rising on either side, two poles entwined with exuberant, meadow-style florals create height and movement, drawing the eye upward to a hand-crafted garland of bunting fashioned from dried flower heads - a charming nod to the traditional British flower show.
The composition blends stately sophistication with a joyful celebration of British floristry, capturing both the Earl’s dignified presence and the spirited beauty of an English summer.
