This week’s inspiration arrived like a dream with a digital glitch.

We were mesmerised by Fata Morgana, Alexis Mata’s exhibition where lush oil paintings collide with fractured code, and flowers bloom through distortion. It’s a reminder that beauty isn’t always clear or soft, it can be fragmented, layered, unexpected. A bit like the end of summer.

These days feel stretched and strange, like time’s slipping through its own filter. And somehow, that’s exactly where our creativity grows best -in the not-quite-real, the almost-past, the petal clinging to a pixel.

We’re letting it all in. The chaos, the calm, the colour trails of memory. Because sometimes, a glitch is just another way of seeing things differently.
Back to the studio next week and can’t wait to get our hands back into blooms, with hearts full of inspo and minds buzzing with wild new ideas. 🌸✨

This week brings a quiet return: to ideas, to rhythm, to the familiar hum of our studio.. We lit Penny Fig first: soft and golden, like a summer breeze slipping through linen curtains. Then came Penny Black - darker, smoky, grounding, with the weight of late summer evenings.
But the real magic happens somewhere in between, where one scent holds warmth and the other, depth. We missed them both. And together, they create something new. Like memory and momentum in the same breath.

We’ve always been drawn to flowers in all their forms: blooming, fading, even reimagined. This week’s inspiration comes from the stunning work of Finnish artist Nanna Hänninen, who takes black-and-white photography and lets colour erupt across it like memory, mood, and emotion made visible.

Each swipe of the palette knife feels instinctual, like colour finding its way back to form. The result? A wild and beautiful tension between control and spontaneity, elegance and energy.
