Seyidxan Sevinç is a Kurdish musician and songwriter from Siirt, Turkey, known for his fusion of traditional Kurdish motifs with contemporary genres like folk-rock, blues, and reggae. Diagnosed with Tourette syndrome, Sevinç discovered that singing alleviated his tics, leading him to pursue music as both a form of expression and a therapeutic outlet. His debut album, Bîr (2020), features reinterpretations of classic Kurdis poetry, while his follow-up, Lêrz (2023), delves into more experimental production. Sevinç's work is deeply rooted in Kurdish culture, drawing inspiration from poets such as Melayê Cizîrî and Baba Tahirê Uryan.
