Two years ago today we were at Grizedale Forest and made the decision to move to Cumbria to be close to the Lake District, our favourite place 💚

Hi! We're the Chapman family. 👋
In 2022 we decided we were done living in Cambridgeshire and spending all our time working in offices, whilst our little boy spent all day at school! So we started working remotely and in 2023 our baby girl was born, we started home educating our son, we travelled all over the UK for 6 months and then moved to Cumbria!
We LOVE living next to our favourite place, the Lake District, and spending our free time exploring the lakes, fells, caves, beaches and nature reserves!
This page and our brand new travel blog website will record our days out in the lakes, weekends away in the UK and holidays abroad!

I saw these cones at the supermarket today and knew my kids would love them. They decorated them with sauce and sprinkles ✨ and Eli said 'this is just like being at the beach!' which is a total mum win!

Total cost about £2.50 for many, many ice creams! Perfect for a garden BBQ.

We enjoyed the short sandy walk along the River Eden to Wetheral Caves. At the end we explored the manmade caves that were originally carved from the sandstone in 600AD!

We had a brilliant day exploring Rydal Cave and walking up Langrigg Fell. We had a lovely walk in the sunshine with a couple of stops to enjoy the views and eat our picnic at the top of the fell. Eli charged ahead as always. Melody fell asleep in the carrier on the way down, and I would never usually wake a sleeping baby, but we had to wake her up to see the cave and walk across the stepping stones!
