As a special Christmas treat, we decided to upload all of November's Magic Wax party at Servant Jazz Quarters to Mixcloud. Moving between spiritual jazz, leftfield synthpop, salsa, afrobeat, cumbia, balearic beats, cadence, bhangra... and more!

We had a blast in the intimate basement of SJQ, and can't wait to be back again soon for another party. Watch this space!

joins on this month’s Magic Wax Radio for a guest mix traversing laid-back, international sounds from France, Mali, Haiti, Brazil, Martinique, and more!

Yadava is a Manchester based musician, producer and DJ, co-founder of long-standing Mancunian club night , and more recently .mcr, a community focused party with an open music policy.

Yadava has released music on labels such as Church, Tru Thoughts, Omena, ANMA, Banoffee Pies Records, XVI Records, and local label Ad Hoc Records with support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Osunlade, Moxie and features from Mixmag, Stamp The Wax and more.

The self-described instrument fumbler and radio mumbler also hosts a bi-monthly radio show ‘Expansions’ on NTS Manchester alongside fellow Manchester producer and studio collaborator Contours.

We are back at Servant Jazz Quarters on November 10th for another musical journey!

We had an amazing time back in July dancing the night away in the basement of one of Dalston's most-loved venues, so we're ready to do it again!

Expect international sounds, friendly faces and lots of dancing.

Topping off the week on Sunday Alex flew the MWX flag in Peckham at the record fair - lots of music chat and lots of vinyl shifted to new homes!

Jazzy Sport are a London-based collective representing UK branch of the Tokyo label and record shop of the same name.

We have enjoyed their events, parties and radio shows, and have had the pleasure of sharing a lineup during the .london takeover several months back.

On tonight's edition of the Show - Cosmic Bob is by a couple of vinyl explorers for a groove laden couple of hours. Alex C and BYO Boogie are Magic Wax - a DJ duo hosting regular parties and a monthly radio show focused around vinyl sounds and rare, global grooves.
