Starting wedding dress shopping from scratch? This is what you need to know!
1. Set a realistic budget, don’t be tempted to try something on you can’t afford just for fun, it will end in tears! Make sure there’s room in the budget for alterations too, usually at least £300.
2. Do a deep dive on the boutiques you want to visit. Only book in with one or two that you feel drawn to and don’t overwhelm yourself. Shop with intention and you’ll find your dress with no stress!
3. Until you start trying on, all your opinions are based on pictures of other women in dresses. Try not to pay too much attention to what the algorithms are bombarding you with, and shop with an open mind. Your dream dress is might be the one you’d never have saved!
And one more thing…
Don’t assume your dream dress needs to cost £3k and take 6 months to arrive. A designer sample? Same designer, same gorgeous dress. Fraction of the price, and you can take it home straight away.
