All Saints Kingston was once again honoured to be the venue for the annual Crown Court Civic Service on the 6th October. This service is traditionally hosted by the Mayor of Kingston upon Thames to mark the beginning of a new legal year and is a moment to pray for all those involved in our criminal justice system.

We were joined by the leader of the council, local councillors, his honour Judge Lodder and fellow judges and staff of the crown court, freemen of the borough, former mayors, representatives of local business' and a number of school groups. Children from Tiffin school perfomed some wonderful pieces and it was wonderful to have so many members of the community together.

It was a particular privilege to be joined by the High Sheriff of Greater London for 2026-2027, Dhruv Patel CBE who presented Rev Joe Moffatt with the High Sheriff’s Special Recognition Award.

Rev Joe said: "I was completely surprised and deeply honoured to receive this recognition from the High Sheriff of Greater London. I'm especially pleased that it reflects the work of the Kingston Faith and Belief Forum, which has been a joy and privilege to lead alongside so many wonderful friends and colleagues from across our faith communities. I also receive it on behalf of the exceptional teams at Kingston Council and All Saints Kingston. Their dedication makes everything we do possible. This award is not really about one person; it reflects a shared commitment to serving our community together."

We would like to thank the Mayor for nominating Rev Joe and for the High Sheriff of Greater London for visiting All Saints Kingston to present it.

KCAH Big Sleep Out - Sat 10th October- Sun 11th October
The All Saints team spent the night in the churchyard last night, together with a number of other amazing participants.

This was part of Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness (KCAH)'s Big Sleep Out - their main fundraising event to support their programs and services.

No tent, no warmth, no shelter - the team braved the dark and cold from dusk until dawn to experience a small part of the daily reality of people on the streets of Kingston Upon Thames.

KCAH can and do change lives. We've seen the work that they do and heard the stories of lives that have been turned around.

Every £1 goes to KCAH for their amazing work. To "contribute to the curate" and help KCAH to continue their work, please donate to the team by using this link

Our 9.30am All Age Communion Harvest Thanksgiving service begins in 10 minutes. After the terrible fire in Kingston marketplace, and an unprecedented summer drought, praying for all those who help bring food to our tables is more important than ever.

The junior choir is busy on a last practice session and bags of donations for Kingston food bank are being gathered https://kingston.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/

This is followed by our choral matins service at 11am and then our very special evensong service including the final embroidery dedication this evening at 6pm (booking needed please via ticket source) https://www.ticketsource.com/all-saints-church-kingston/t-mjrnzpn

Right now Rev Michael Stokes and congregation member Wendy Salter are in our churchyard, spending the entire night, alongside some other brave souls to experience a small part of what local homeless people do every night on the streets of Kingston.
Exposed, no tent, no warmth - “Sleeping out so that others don’t have to”
Could you support them? Every penny goes to Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness KCAH.
