Partnering with Harrods and Loro Piana, we saved 50+ Christmas decorations from their iconic storefront and gave them a new story. One standout recipient was Descendants , a charity since 1993, empowering African & Caribbean youth through art, music, and heritage workshops. Their half-term sessions lit up with these vibrant pieces, fueling creativity and pride.

This is what reuse really looks like: saving materials from waste and giving them meaningful second lives. 💚

From Harrods storefront to local support hub.

In collaboration with Sculptivate and Event Cycle, over 50 magical decorations from Harrods X LoroPiana festive storefront were redistributed to schools, charities, and community groups across the UK, giving them a second life and a new purpose.

One of these recipients was Sutton Community Champions, a grassroots group reducing food waste and supporting families. The stars and clouds now brighten up their community shop, transforming the space into a bright, welcoming hub for clothes swaps, school uniform banks, and more.

The repurposed flags were transformed by a social enterprise into durable storage bags, which are now essential for the group’s projects.

A brilliant example of how thoughtful reuse creates lasting social impact. 💚

✨ From iconic storefront to community impact. ✨

For Christmas 2024, Loro Piana brought their signature elegance to Harrods, transforming its windows and storefront into a stunning festive display. But what happened to all those magical decorations once the season came to an end?

In collaboration with Sculptivate and Event Cycle, the installations have been given a second life, repurposed and redistributed to schools, charities, and community groups across the UK.

We saved 43 stars, 8 clouds, 3 cogs, and 17 flags from landfill and gave them a new purpose in a:

💚 Grammar school
💚 Community garden
💚 Church
💚 Community shop
💚 Sensory space
💚 Grassroots community hub
💚 Clothes swap initiative
💚 Food parcel delivery service

Celebrating another brilliant testimonial! 💚 A huge thank you to the wonderful team at BMECP Centre Brighton for their kind words.

Based in the heart of Brighton, Black Minority Ethnic Community Partnership (BMECP) supports communities across Sussex through vital services like a food bank, health and wellbeing initiatives, and space for community activities. Their mission is to promote equality, inclusion, and opportunity for all.

Food parcels from ITM’s conference were able to support BMECP’s vital food bank services, helping to ease food insecurity and directly benefit local people in need.

The donation formed part of an interactive icebreaker challenge, designed by Event Cycle in collaboration with ITM, which brought attendees together to pack the parcels at the start of the event - a purposeful and impactful way to begin the conference.

We’re proud to help bring social impact into event experiences and look forward to supporting local Welsh charities as ITM heads to Wales for 2025!

This March, Carina is taking on a marathon-length night walk to support the London Homeless Collective. 🏙️💚

As co-founders of Event Cycle, giving back and making a positive impact is at the heart of everything we do—not just for the business, but on a personal level, too. This walk is one of the many ways Carina and Chantal get involved and show up for causes that really matter.

In 2024, 207 charities, schools & social enterprises received resources that helped them save money, access vital items, and do even more for their communities. Thanks to our work with event organisers, here’s the impact created:

📦 63,789 items donated to charities, community groups & schools
🌱 114,060 kgCO2e saved—the same as 467 London buses—by preventing unnecessary new purchases
🗑️ 16,030 kgCO2e saved from landfill—another 65 London buses worth of emissions avoided!
🌍 Charities in 4 new international regions received much-needed donations
🎈 2 giant inflatables repurposed for charity projects (because why shouldn’t charities have fun too?)
🥅 1 football goal donated to a school, giving kids a space to play
💰 £485,311 in social impact value, helping charities reduce costs and focus on their mission
