Everyone assumes this is my “deeply contemplative celebrant” face.
In reality, I was zoning out to a handpan and having a tiny internal crisis about whether I’d fed the dog.
Handpan: soothing.
My brain: “The dog is definitely writing his memoir about neglect as we speak.”

Side note: The dog had indeed been fed 🐶🐾

Still absolutely BUZZING from Emma & Kate’s gorgeous, gloriously intimate little ceremony.

I loved, loved, LOVED being a part of their special day!

The vibes? Completely relaxed.
The people? Bloody lovely and instantly made you feel at home.

The energy? Chaotic good with a side of “pass me a tissue, I’m emotional again.”

Massive shoutout to
📸 Sarah from

for helping make the whole day sparkle like a freshly charged crystal in a sunbeam.

The café looked STUNNING — all decorated by the couple and their friends, who clearly said “Pinterest board? No. We are the Pinterest board.”

Honestly, this place has become such a favourite of mine during the planning stages that I keep accidentally (on purpose) frequenting it. Oops. 😅

I also rediscovered my love for delivering poetry — so brace yourselves, because a recording of the poem I read is coming soon. Prepare your hearts.

And yes… I absolutely DID take a selfie with the Michael Sheen cutout in the Gringos shop. They’d put a hanger on him. A literal hanger. So naturally he was just…
✨ hanging out
✨ hanging in there
✨ hanging ONTO MY HEART
A national treasure in cardboard form.

Emma & Kate — you started with nothing but the road beneath your feet and built a whole life together from it. Wishing you all the very best for your future together as wife and wife.Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day and being a part of your journey. 💜🌿

I can finally share my fave selfie with J & S from their elopement day!!

Big weddings, tiny weddings, all the glorious love in between… but elopements?
They’re pure, unfiltered joy.

And this one?
Straight out of a Choose Your Own Adventure book.
We wandered into the forest with no fixed plan, no marked page, no pre‑chosen spot — just following the feeling.

Then nature sent us a sign.
Two tiny frogs hopping around a moss‑covered tree trunk, like two little green guides saying:

“Here! This is your place.”

So that mossy trunk became their backdrop.
That moment became their ceremony.
And the forest became part of their story.

And we weren’t adventuring alone.
The incredible Babs Boardwell Photography — our very own Chronicle‑Keeper — trekked through the glades with us, camera in hand and her enchanted yellow waterproof kit‑bag slung over her shoulder. The most stylish, stealthy, story‑capturing member of our little questing party. Truly an awesome experience from start to finish.

This is why I adore nature‑inspired elopements: you get to write your own path… and I (and maybe one or 2 others) get to walk beside you while the world quietly conspires in your favour 🥰

PS: Did I mention the frogs?… THE FROGS! 🐸🐸

When your elopement couple provide the yummiest post ceremony picnic 😋

*side note - you don't have to provide food for me - but I'll never say no - I am after all, rather tall for a Hobbit 😁

You beautiful bunch bring me to the most gorgeous places! 😍🥰🥰

Reasons I love my job #1:

I was in a room full of people like this yesterday — honouring a woman who shone through her pain with all the chaotic brilliance of a lit firework in a living room.

She illuminated up every room she entered… and yes, her unforgettable assets usually made their entrance a few seconds ahead of her, closely followed by the glowing tip of a freshly lit cigarette, her own tiny spotlight.

She was their nocturnal queen — the late‑night horror‑film addict who thrived in the spooky hours.

Unapologetically herself, gloriously luminous, and utterly adored.

I’ll always be grateful for the privilege of meeting her bold, brilliant, beautifully chaotic family and shaping a tribute that felt as unapologetic and alive as she was.

She was unforgettable — and so was the wild, wonderful honour of celebrating her.
