🌟 Lowering the Feather Banners – A Symbolic End to The Longest Yarn 🌟
The video says it all – from the emotional lowering of the feather banners to the careful packing of each section into travel cases, we've come to the end of a remarkable journey. The Longest Yarn exhibition has officially wrapped up... and Adrian even remarks here that we have had a total footfall of 21,400+!
We're excited to send it on to its next destination in Aldershot!
✨ Heartfelt Thanks ✨
This wouldn't have been possible without our incredible volunteers, the support of Holy Trinity Church, our sponsors, partners, and everyone who visited from near and far. Diolch yn fawr! Your involvement – whether through musical tributes, expert talks, or creative displays – made this event truly extraordinary.
📚 The Story Lives On!
Though the exhibition has come to a close, our mission continues. We've archived many WWII stories and memories from the exhibition, and we'll be sharing these with you to keep the legacy alive and celebrate everything we've achieved.
🚨 Next Up: TANK WEEK! 🚨
The journey doesn’t stop here! The Ripon Knitted Tank will remain on display for another week at the Victoria Shopping Centre, giving us one last chance to enjoy this community masterpiece.
As we turn our thoughts to Remembrance Day next month, we’re reminded of the sacrifices of those who came before us. Thank you, Llandudno, for being part of this unforgettable chapter!
