We gave a fitting send off today to a veteran who raised thousands for the poppy appeal and gave his time in representing the British Legion as a Standard Bearer. Took part in marches on Armed Forces Day. As well as being a devoted husband, dad, grandpops and great grandpops. They all done him proud.

There is a global wave of light this week for the awareness of baby loss. Sending healing thoughts and prayers for those families in grieving for their precious loss, their spark of light and a heart full of love. 🙏 💖

When you enter the world, you come to live on the threshold between the visible and invisible. You bring with you a sense of belonging to the invisible that you can never lose or finally cancel. There is always some magnet that draws your eyes to the horizon or invites you to explore behind things and seek out the concealed depths. You know that the real nature of things is hidden deep within them.

When you become aware of the invisible as a live background, you notice how your own body is woven around your invisible soul, how the invisible lives behind the faces of those you love, and how it is always there between you. The invisible is one of the most powerful forms of the unknown. It envelopes our every movement. It is the region out of which we emerged and the state we are destined for, yet we never see it.

A part of us dies when we lose someone that we love. We are never the same person. We miss everything about them even their whinging and moaning or the annoying way they take over the remote control for the TV and talking in the middle of a movie. Their OCD ways or leaving their tea bag out on the side when rushing out the door last minute. It's the simple everyday things that leave a great big hole that can never be filled nor would we want it to be. 💖
