You’ve nailed your transitions. You’ve optimised your cadence. You are ready for the race!
But what about your recovery? Remember, the race doesn’t end at the finish line…

This year we’ve partnered up with niku-naku sauna to provide a dedicated Recovery Zone at the Bala Triathlon. Start your ultimate recovery with Finnish sauna and contrast therapy.

The Recovery Zone is open to contestants and spectators alike. Featuring a wood-fired sauna, chilled plunge pool, changing rooms, a shower, and outdoor seating. The perfect way to unwind after the race, and celebrate the days events at Llyn Tegid/Bala Lake.

Sauna bathing has many benefits for athletic recovery, including:

activates your parasympathetic nervous system
improves circulation
soothes aching muscles and joints
improves sleep - the foundation of good recovery

What a day Sunday was, and having Alder Hey Children’s Charity as our headline charity made this year’s Tour de Môn even more meaningful

It was fantastic to see so many blue jerseys out on course supporting our headline charity, Alder Hey Children’s Charity

Together, Alder Hey cyclists raised over £15,000 for children receiving hospital care💙

Thank you to everyone who took part, fundraised and donated, and of course, thank you to Alder Hey for joining us on the day

Another event down and another on the way!

We’re looking for marshals to join us at Triathlon y Bala for another exciting day of racing🏊‍♀️🚴🏼‍♀️🏃

🏆This year, Triathlon y Bala is hosting the British Championships, Welsh Triathlon Super Series Grand Final and European Championship age group qualifier- so there’s plenty of race day action to get involved in!

Whether you want to greet participants at registration, cheer them in transition or congratulate them at the finish line, there’s a role for you!

We’re also looking for a team of people who are happy to be located in rural areas of the 70.3 course, to motivate athletes in quieter sections 🙌🏼
