The story of Little Umbrella Events ☂️

When Rebecca moved from one of the driest parts of the country to Liverpool (famously not dry), she quickly learned always to carry a little umbrella. Not because she loved the rain, but because it meant she was prepared, calm and able to adapt when plans shifted.

That mindset is now at the heart of Little Umbrella Events: thoughtful planning, calm heads and support before you even know you need it.

We help organisations across the North West deliver events that feel good, run smoothly and reflect their values.

Rebecca’s favourite Little Umbrella Events moment of 2025! ☂️ ⏮️

As we take a moment to reflect on the year, and on the many incredible moments that have shaped Little Umbrella, Rebecca picked one that stands out…

“It came during ’s 5th Birthday Celebration, in a brief pause before the evening fully unfolded.

Walking down into the reception space, seeing Rose at the welcome desk greeting guests, the room glowing with beautiful light, glasses of prosecco lined up at the bar, and music drifting through from the concert room behind, everything felt quietly in place 🙌

In that moment, there was a real sense of pride, not just in what we delivered that evening, but in everything we’d built over the year. The space looked beautiful, the atmosphere was warm, and people were arriving into something carefully considered. Working alongside Rose on this event was a genuine joy, and moments like this remind us why we do what we do.”

Meet Rebecca ☂️

Our founder and co-director here at Little Umbrella Events. With over 10 years of experience delivering everything from conferences and dinners at the University of Cambridge, to public outreach and sporting events for Europe’s largest wildlife conservation charity, Rebecca is the very definition of a calm head and sharp eye for detail 🤝

Rebecca’s love for events started early (her first was a school fashion show at 15!), and since then she has built a career around creating meaningful moments for communities, organisations and brilliant people across the UK.

After moving to Liverpool, she founded Little Umbrella Events in 2023 (the story behind this business name is one for another day) and has supported weddings, arts and culture activations and purpose-led organisations across the North West.

Outside of the clipboard life? You’ll find Rebecca spending time amongst nature (her favourite spot is RSPB England Burton Mere) or exploring pubs across the city! 🦅🍺
