What an amazing weekend we had serving all the crew and Artists at Rebellion Punk Festival there’s a little bit of punk in all of us! Amazing vibes incredible crew who worked tirelessly to put on one incredible weekend and we were honoured to feed them a menu that gave them food they deserved to keep them nourished for the second year now at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, it was incredible to see so many punks young and old come together to enjoy some incredible bands 💚 with the rebellion flag proudly flying on top of the Blackpool tower 🙏

What a lovely little wedding we did yesterday with a Hot serviced buffet, and given half were from Ireland with lots never had vegan food before the feedback was phenomenal with comments like “Best meal I have ever had” and it made it all the more special that Rachel and Dave met whilst working for Greenpeace and knowing there was a fair few Greenpeace activists there! 💚 we hope you had a fabulous day guys 💚

Serving a 3 course plated wedding dinner outside in a catering tent with no electricity access is always a challenge but we pulled it off with ease, couldn’t even get the generator there due to us being in a car park, the wedding was lovely the guests were lovely and it was a beautiful sunny day which made everything so much easier, life is better when the sun is out 🤩

I’ve just shared a new piece on The Slow Table Letters about burnout, anxiety and the strange reality that sometimes even when life finally slows down… your nervous system doesn’t.

After years in hospitality running restaurants, festivals and weddings at full speed, I genuinely thought reducing the workload would instantly bring peace.

What I’m learning is that burnout runs deeper than exhaustion.

This one will probably resonate with anyone who has spent too long in survival mode.
