This family friendly stage adaptation of ‘A Christmas Carol’ brings a fresh, lively take on Charles Dickens' classic tale. Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly businessman, is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, who guide him through his life’s mistakes and the consequences of his actions.

The play features humour, tender moments and a few new elements. A wonderful way to get into the festive spirit!

As well as looking for our cast… we are also looking for people who would like to join our group in an off-stage capacity. Whether you’d like to learn how to do the sound & lights. Or perhaps you’d like to help us with our set, our costumes or our props. Or if you’d like to assist with the marketing or front of house operation on show nights. Please come down on the 2nd or the 4th of September to meet the group.

Longtime alumni of Thingwall Players, David Griffiths - Author & Director, will be staging his latest play - based upon a witch trial that laid the foundations for the Malleus Malificarum (the original witchfinders handbook) - at Shakespeare North Playhouse in Prescot on 22nd and 23rd July before heading to the Edinburgh Fringe in August. We always encourage our audience to support our members in their creative ventures, so why not join us there.

The Hammer and Helena is the true story of the most evil book ever written and its horrifying legacy.
