Active Mountaineering was set up in 2014 by Chris Littlehales to offer mountain challenge events in an environmentally friendly way. From the start, we have led the way and set the example on how to run mountain events in a way that minimises our impact whilst educating our clients about the environment that we work in. We have constantly refined and developed our National 3 Peaks Challenge event so that we are the only company to consistently deliver this event in the true 'car park to car park' time of 24 hours. Our continuing success and growth have enabled us to start offering fully guided trips to Kilimanjaro with further destinations soon to be added.

Challenge No.25 since the start of May completed in the genuine 24 hours!!

From the bottom of Ben Nevis to the bottom of Snowdon. Up AND down 3 mountains. No made up mathematics, no stopping the clock at the top of Snowdon. No BS!!

Just a genuine ass kicking around this challenge to achieve something amazing!!

FREE!!

Free Snowdon walk on 7th November 2026. Join me for a leisurely bimble up Wales highest mountain and this time, it’s all about the faffing!! This event is free for anyone who has attended one of my challenges. Anyone else is welcome to join at a small cost of £30 each.

I’ll be providing a bus from and returning to Liverpool.

Please message me to book your place so I know what size bus to use.

FB memory just now! 2013 I did Kilimanjaro as a client and it was the first time, age 42 that I’d actually done something for myself instead of always putting everyone else first.

Meeting the amazing people that I did on that challenge, made me realise that chasing the money and working my ass off only to benefit other people wasn’t where I was supposed to be!

Those amazing people inspired me to do what I do now. And because of them, I now work my ass off to make strangers believe in themselves on my challenges every week.

My energy comes from the amazing people I meet on these events.. These people energise me every week to go into the next weeks challenge. I do what I do for every one of them.

Never be afraid of change. I set this company up at age 42 and turned a passion into a business. Believe in yourself and just do it! You’ll be surprised what you can achieve if you just believe in yourself.

And again!!!

Challenge No.23 since the start of May completed in the genuine 24 hours!

Started 8.44am Saturday, finished 8.02am Sunday. A genuine 23 hours 18 minutes. Up AND down all 3 mountains!! None of that stopping the clock at the top of Snowdon. Just a genuine hard push to do them all!
