We recently had the absolute honour of welcoming Angela, the granddaughter of Alicia Giles — the lady after whom the original Alicia Hotel was named. ❤️

Angela shared some fascinating stories and memories about the building and its history. Her grandfather purchased the building and transformed it into a hotel, naming it The Alicia Hotel after his beloved wife, Alicia.

Hearing the stories of what the hotel once was gave us a truly amazing insight into its past — the weddings, celebrations, family occasions and so many special memories that were created here over the years.

Times have certainly changed, but there is something very special about bringing a little bit of that history back to life.

Our dream with Sefton Park Suites is to recreate that feeling — a beautiful place where people can come together, celebrate, make memories and create their own love stories.

We know we can’t turn back the clock, but we can bring back some of the magic of the good old days of the Alicia Hotel. ✨

And hearing Angela’s stories has made us even more determined to do just that.

Here’s to creating many more wonderful memories in a place that already has so many. ❤️🥂
