Yeah, that’s me… you’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation… 😂🔥

Well, after months of researching skin treatments, reading far too much about collagen, skin regeneration and healthy ageing, I finally decided to take the plunge.

At 41, I’m not trying to look 20 again.

I’m not chasing perfection.

I simply want to look and feel my best for as long as possible, and for me that means investing in my skin in the same way I invest in my health, fitness, nutrition and overall wellbeing.

So yesterday I had my first NeoGen treatment.

Right now I’m firmly in the “trust the process” phase 😅 but I’m excited to document the healing journey and share the results honestly over the coming weeks and months.

As a bridal hair & makeup artist, I always tell my brides that beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin. Now it’s time to take my own advice and invest in mine too 💎✨

The hottest day in May… and honestly, today was one of those wedding mornings where bridal experience really matters 💎✨

Originally Charlotte and I had planned a half up half down hairstyle for her wedding day. But when she sat in my chair this morning, with the extreme heat already building, I knew I needed to have an honest conversation with her.

Not to be pushy. Not to override what she wanted. But because my job is also to protect the bride from regretting her hairstyle three hours later once the heat, weight and reality of the day kicks in.

So I gently explained why I truly believed an updo would serve her better today. We talked through the heat, longevity, comfort and how quickly wearing her hair down in these temperatures could become overwhelming.

She was understandably hesitant at first because this wasn’t the original plan… but she trusted my judgement.

And within ten minutes of being in her dress, she turned to me and said she was SO glad I offered the option to change her mind 😂

This is the part of bridal hair people don’t always see.

A good bridal hairstylist doesn’t just recreate a Pinterest photo. They adapt in real time. They guide. They troubleshoot. They stay calm under pressure and make decisions with the bride’s full experience in mind, not just how the hair looks in the first five minutes, but overseeing how the style will impact her day overall 💕

At 41, I’ve started thinking about ageing differently.

Not from a place of fear…
And not because I’m trying to look 20 again.

But because I genuinely care about looking and feeling my best for as long as possible 💎✨

I’ve invested in skincare since I was around 19 years old and have consistently used Tropic Skincare for the last 9 years. I eat well (most of the time 😅), try to stay active and I’m becoming more intentional about sleep, stress and my overall wellbeing too.

But recently I’ve started noticing the subtle changes that naturally come with ageing, skin firmness, collagen, texture, puffy eyes all the things skincare alone can’t always completely change anymore.

As a bridal hair & makeup artist, I spend my life talking to women about confidence, skin and beauty. And one thing I always say to my brides is this:
