Welcome to Melanie Mermier Bridal Couture, i am an ex Freelance Theatre and TV Costume cutter and maker. It is my absolute passion to create beautiful and original Gowns, that are not run of the mill. My inspiration comes from Period Costume, Nature and anything Vintage, Old Hollywood and Designers like Dior, Chanel and McQueen. Loved making these Stumpwork beaded embroideries as a commission. Queen Bee and Dragonfly. I used lots of Vintage crystal beads and some new, in colours to complement the owners decor. Mounted on black linen, in black shadow box frames.

Such a lovely way to repurpose a Wedding Dress 🤍.
I was very honoured to be asked to make a Christening dress for a little baby girl, from her Mummy's Special Gown. A lovely Job for me. I was able to utilise the dress material, lining and net petti and buttons. I added little petal sleeves and a concealed zip at the back.
