Oulton Park's signature Historic Gold Cup returns for three days of nostalgic motorsport action on 29-31 July, with a special revamped line-up. On-track entertainment at this summer's event will be overseen by the Historic Sports Car Club, as has become traditional over recent years, with additional content from Masters Historic Racing, the Classic Sports Car Club, the Vintage Sports-Car Club, the

Historic Racing Drivers Club and the Historic Grand Prix Car Association. The races at this year's event have also been given special titles in homage to the circuit's past and those that made their name racing at the venue. The showpiece Historic Gold Cup itself will be awarded to the aggregate winner of two Historic Grand Prix Car Association races across the weekend. Away from the circuit there will be big car displays, vintage music, an artisan market and much more entertainment!

It's time to confirm another special theme for the 2026 edition of the Oulton Park Gold Cup 🏆

The dedicated commemoration comes during a special year for the Brabham name. The 2026 season marks not only the 60th anniversary of Brabham’s unique World Championship victory in a car bearing his own name, but also 100 years since the Australian Grand Prix icon was born.

David Brabham said: “Oulton Park is a very appropriate venue to mark an important year for Brabham. It is 60 years since my father’s third Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship and the Constructors’ title, and this also falls in what would have been Jack’s centenary year.

“The circuit holds particular significance as Jack raced and won the Oulton Park Gold Cup 60 years ago in his championship-winning Repco Brabham BT19. He remains the only driver in Formula 1 history to win a World Championship in a car of his own construction, an extraordinary achievement made possible through his partnership with Ron Tauranac, whose engineering contribution was fundamental to Brabham’s success.

“Having the HGPCA racing as part of the Gold Cup weekend adds to the historical importance, and I’m looking forward to meeting fans at the Brabham marquee for the Bank Holiday Monday Q&A. I would also like to thank MSV, as owners of Oulton Park, for their support in helping make this celebration of Brabham history possible.”

Oulton Park will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Can-Am at the Gold Cup on August Bank Holiday weekend (29-31) 🏆

These icons roared around North American road courses in the 70s and 80s. But now, they're set to appear in Cheshire 🏁

Richard Taylor, who is organising the special gathering, said: “I am so thrilled that together with MSV and the HSCC we can mark the 60th Anniversary of the fastest and least restricted form of sports car racing ever seen. The ground shaking Can-Am cars should make for a superb spectacle."
