Lisburn Rangers 2015 Colts vs Lisburn Rangers 2014 Girls
It was a fantastic evening of football at Tolerton pitches as Lisburn Rangers 2015 Colts took on the Lisburn Rangers 2014 Girls in a competitive and enjoyable friendly match.
Both teams started brightly, showing great intensity and commitment from the first whistle.
The game provided an excellent opportunity for our whole squad to get valuable minutes on the pitch, including some of our newer players who continue to settle in well.
The Colts created numerous good attacking opportunities throughout the match, with Elijah leading the line brilliantly.
His movement and finishing were excellent, and he was rewarded for his hard work in front of the goal.
A special mention must go to the 2014 Girls, whose overall performance was outstanding. They played with great energy, moved the ball well, and showed excellent determination throughout. Their quality and work rate meant our boys had to work hard to maintain a high standard for the full game.
The girls deservedly got on the scoresheet late on after a brief lapse in communication and concentration from the Colts, but credit must go to them for taking their chance well.
Overall, it was nice to get the win; however, we were delighted that every player got to contribute tonight as we continue our preparations for Saturday’s fixture.
Most importantly, it was another great evening of football played in the right spirit.
