I shudder at the word “finger food” and they’re larger than canapés…What’s a better name? 🧐🤔Call them what you will, these 'small bites' are meal-sized treats! Anyway.. they were devoured so I'm chuffed to bits…. On the menu: Mozzarella stuffed arancini, apple caramelised onion and sage sausage rolls, lamb koftas & smoky tomato chilli dip, spanakopita & tzatziki, a bunch of sarnies, mini pavlovas and caramel brownies…

Treated to the most delicious lunch at Le Flamant in Lindfield. Soft clouds of sweet potato & spring onion with a miso & ponzu mayo, the creamiest burrata with sweet roasted tomatoes and toasted cashews and the crispest tiny tarts of spicy avocado, tuna & mango - they were SO good. Not enough superlatives!! Thank you to my old schoolfriend Janie for such a fabulous birthday treat (yep still celebrating!!). If you haven’t had a chance to visit yet, I implore you to go. We’re so lucky to have this wonderful place in our doorstep.

Not being a professional baker, I’m rather proud of this one — a beast of a rich chocolate cake crowned with the brightest, most beautiful fruits. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.

I’ve been baking up a few treats for the café at Farley’s House & Gallery…
Onion upside-down cakes (yes, slightly surreal — but completely delicious) and Mediterranean veggie rolls, packed with sunshine flavours.
If you’re planning a visit, it’s the perfect excuse for a wonderful cultural wander followed by something seriously good to eat.

A new Lindfield Kitchen acquisition! I’ve bought 80 of them! Needed for a client who wanted canapés and small bowls served! I think they’re gorgeous! And it’s inspired a new strand of ideas for a small bowl menu. What the customer wants the customer gets!
