A great few days down in Cornwall with Andy Fox of Opus Audio Developments where I collected the new PA system.
Some grilles were off, and some speakers not in the photos, but what a sound!!
4x double 18” cabinets
2x quad 15” cabinets
4x CS 750 wide boy Mid/High cabinets
Complete with 4 extremely heavy Opus amps. My idea to have them all in one rack, but took 3 of us just to lift it up onto its castors 🫣 And we struggled 🙄 # # # # #
Massively heavier than I expected, so having the rack split into two as Mr Fox suggested originally 😬

Will be testing our smaller PA system (16 speakers in total) with the new Allen & Heath QU-6 24 channel digital mixing desk.
6 subs, 4 large top boxes, and 6 small top boxes (stage monitors) All to be tested for clarity and performance.

Looking forward to having a play with this new chap over the weekend. While we wait to collect the new Opus rig, we’ll set up and run our old Peavey system and familiarise ourselves with the QU-6’s capabilities.

Nearing completion

So, been busy behind the scenes since the new year with getting our equipment flight cased and ready to rock n roll. Been keeping in touch with the amazing Andy Fox from Opus Audio Developments, and am pleased to say that our new PA system is well on the way to being completed.
Amp racks are ready, and the speaker cabinets almost ready.
4x double 18” Subs
2x Quad 15” subs
And 4x CS750 top cabinets 😎
Looking pretty so far, so can’t wait to get it out on the road.
