We are getting ready to welcome you to our Ultimate Festival of History Experience! ✨✨
Enter the Victorian Prison and meet a colourful cast of characters sharing fascinating stories and legends inspired by the Castle’s remarkable past. With storytelling, character encounters, and plenty to explore, it’s the perfect day out for curious minds of all ages. 🎭
Don’t miss your chance to see The Chronica Majora, currently on display alongside the iconic Magna Carta. 📜 And discover our contemporary exhibition by local photographer, Andrew Scott, showcasing a modern way of recording the world around us. 📸
🎟 Amazing value: The Ultimate Festival of History Experience is included with your Castle day ticket and is free for annual pass holders.
The Castle grounds remain free to access all weekend, where you can listen to our Victorian Musicians and watch thrilling displays from What A Palaver! 🔥
There’ll also be a little extra family fun across the weekend with two traditional fairground rides – the Chair-O-Plane for younger visitors and classic Swing Boats to enjoy. 🎠
And if you need a break in between all of these adventures - our café will be open for light refreshments and a well-earned sit down!! ☕
