Iโve been doing a lot of thinking lately, and I may have to consider making my equipment indoor hire only.๏ฟผ
Unfortunately, the weather has become so unpredictable and hit-and-miss that outdoor bookings are becoming increasingly difficult. Not only does the constant exposure to the elements cause more wear and damage to the equipment, but I also absolutely hate having to cancel someoneโs special event when the weather turns against us and there isnโt a suitable Plan B or indoor space available.
When a booking has to be cancelled due to bad weather, itโs not just disappointing for my customers โ it also means a significant loss of income for my small business. As a family-run business and a mum of three children, every booking matters and helps me provide for my family.
I know the deposit policy may not always be popular, but I hope people can understand why deposits remain non-refundable on cancellations . When I take a booking, I reserve that date and often turn away other enquiries. If a booking cannot go ahead due to bad weather and there is no suitable indoor alternative, I still lose the income from that date, which can have a huge impact on a small business like mine.
This is not a decision Iโm taking lightly, but I hope people can understand the position Iโm in. My priority has always been providing a reliable service, protecting my equipment, and making sure your special occasions are as stress-free as possible.
Iโd really appreciate your thoughts and feedback. Thank you to everyone who continues to support my small business โ it truly means the world to me and my family โค๏ธ
