🏁Young budding superstars are climbing our leaderboards🤩

🏆Patrick Wood joined us this week for the first Superpole of the summer holidays where cadets can participate and almost took the Cadet lap record away from Flynn Grantham, missing out by just 0.053secs 😯

Patricks time of 36.357secs makes him the Fastest Cadet of July so far & 3rd 🥉 Fastest Cadet of 2025 which currently ranks him 9th in the 2025 Cadet Drivers Championship 🫵🏼🤩🏁

Joshua Milburn on holiday from Sunderland has made the most of his trip down having completed 20 sessions plus participating in Superpole 😯 where he found just over half a second sticking in a 36.649sec making the 2nd 🥈 Fastest Cadet this month, and 6th Fastest Overall out the 2️⃣3️⃣7️⃣7️⃣ young drivers to so far set a lap💪😜🏁

Other Cadets to find their way into our TOP 20 of 2025 were:

This weeks Superpole saw Chris Tate take the Number One ☝️ spot in the Over 40’s category for July with a time of 33.500secs 👏🤩

Chris finally made it back to a Superpole after not being able due to work commitments and stuck in a 33.500sec lap placing top of this month’s leaderboard and 5th Fastest Driver Over 40 this year!

Chris currently sits 7th in the 2025 Over 40’s Drivers Championship 🫵🏼😉🥇

Martin Plumbley proved Tia gets her driving skills from her dad’s side of the family by sticking in a very impressive 33.727secs despite not having any seat time since March. Martin would have taken the top spot in his category if it wasn’t for Chris Tate finding a couple of tenths in the same session 🫣

Martin currently ranks 2nd Fastest Over 40 this month, 7th Fastest Over 40 this year and sits in 8th position for the 2025 Over 40’s Driver Championship 💪😉

Jonathan Jobson made huge improvements during this weeks Superpole smashing his PB with a very respectable time of 33.764secs which ranks him 4th Fastest Over 40 this month, 8th Fastest Over 40 this year which places him in 6th for the 2025 Over 40’s Driver Championship 🤩👍

W🤩W what a night we’ve had this week at Superpole, Hugo Blakley raised the bar yet again beating his previous record by 0.079 🏆 so the outright circuit lap record is now 32.821secs 🤯🥇

Tia Plumbley returned showcasing her undying talent setting a lap time of 32.950secs which makes her “The” Fastest Female, 4th Fastest Overall across all categories and bumps her up to 2nd place in the 2025 Female Drivers Championship dispite her last visit being back in March🤯

New comer Emily Cooper made a massive improvement finding over 3 tenths of a second from her last visit setting a time of 33.146secs which would have taken the Female lap record had it not been for Tia setting her time of 32.950 in the exact same session😯Emily’s time catapults her up to 12th place on our Overall leaderboard, ranks her 2nd Fastest Female and currently sits in 9th place in the 2025 Female Drivers Championship proving she’s definitely one to watch out for👀

James Boole also found over 3 tenths on his previous best sticking in a 33.150secs placing himself 13th fastest driver Overall across all categories, 5th fastest in the under 17yrs category but currently leads the 2025 Under 17yrs Drivers Championship 🥇🫵🏼😜👍

Joe Kitt-Briggs made a return to Superpole after a year off and showed his still got it, after a couple of sessions to blow the cob webs off Joe stuck in a very impressive 33.264secs ranking him 17th in the Overall leaderboard across all categories, 11th in the 17-39yrs category which as it stands ranks him in 24th place on the 2025 17-39yrs Driver Championship table dispite this being his only visit during 2025 😯🤔😉

Young Joshua Milburn tops this months Cadet leaderboard with a lap time of 37.190secs 🫵🏼😯🏁

10yr old Joshua who’s staying in Mablethorpe for his annual holiday is Sunderland’s Teamsport cadet lap record holder, and the first thing he wanted after unpacking was to come back to Gridline🫶🏼

This talented young man has visited quite a few tracks both indoor & outdoor up & down the UK and clearly has a love for the sport… so much so he completed 6 sessions today and booked another 4 tomorrow to get himself up to speed before participating in the first Superpole of the summer holidays which has already sold out 😜👍

We suspect this weeks Superpole is going to be very interesting and wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see a new lap record 🤞🏼🤩

Everyone that completes a lap at Gridline is automatically ranked on our categorised leaderboards in one or more of the following categories:

🏁Fastest Cadet

🏁Fastest Female

🏁Fastest Under 17

🏁Fastest 17-39yrs

🏁Fastest Over 40

🏁Fastest Over 60

Each month the Top 20 fastest drivers in each category are awarded Championship points:

1st Place – 20 points

2nd place – 19 points

3rd place – 18 points etc etc… down to 20th place – 1 point

The driver’s that lead the Championship table in each category at the end of year will be crowned

⚡️We had this lovely lot with us on Saturday to competing in our "The Showdown" event for Ryan’s Stag Do.⚡️

🥇 Oliver - FL 35.695

The group is split in two, and each group starts off with a 10 minute practice session followed by a 10 minute qualifying session, where your fastest lap time determines your grid position for your race.

Once each group has completed their 10 minute race, the Top 3 drivers from each race then go head2head in a 10 lap "Showdown"

The Winner is the driver to pass the chequered flag first.

Trophies presented on the podium for the Top 3 drivers from the "Showdown" and a medallion is presented to the driver who sets "THE" fastest lap time throughout the entire event

Min payment for 10 drivers required to book - additional drivers can be added upon arrival if required

State of the art timing system lets everyone know who’s got the fastest lap time, each driver can access every lap time from every visit via our Gridline Racing App available to download on the app store, giving the ability to check out the competition, fastest lap times of the day, week & month.

Our website automatically logs each drivers best lap time so you can see how you fair against others, it will show fastest cadets, fastest driver over 40, fastest female and more.

Check out the Hall of Fame page on our site which displays the driver who set the fastest lap time of previous months... are you fast enough to get your name logged as the fastest driver of this month? or even have your name on there multiple times? You’d have to be a very talented driver to do so.
