Hoorah, after a brief spell of deep thinking have managed to work out the password for this Fb account. Apologies for lack of input til now. Anyway, just been to a wonderful lunchtime concert at the Drill Hall, performed by Trio Volant, loved, loved, loved Gershwin's Summertime with the bassoon as lead instrument.

Last three lunchtime concerts of 2013 at the Drill Hall are as follows: 3rd September - Helena Gourd, flute, & Jane O'Farrell, piano; 1st October - Nicole Linning, french horn & Harvey Davies, piano; 5th November - Students of Lincoln Minster School. All start 1.05pm and tickets are £6 in advance or £7 on the door.

Event 5: Sunday, 18th August, 3.00pm at Lincoln Drill Hall. Schubert, Dvorak, Stravinsky and Rachmaninov compositions are on the programme for this final concert. £16/£15/£8U14.

Event 4: 17th August, 7.30pm in Tattershall's Holy Trinity Church. Ravel, Watkins, Schumann and Messiaen are the featured composers. £14/£13/£7U14.

Event 3: 16th August, 7.30pm in St Mary's Church, Horncastle. Hosokawa, Parry, Debussy arr. Beamish and Brahms all appear in this performance. £14/£13/£7U14.

Event 2: Thursday, 15th August, 7.30pm in the Long Gallery of Doddington Hall. Orlando Gibbons, Johann Jakob Froberger, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach and Jean-Phillipe Rameau are the composers who feature in this programme of harpsichord music. £19/£18.

LICMF celebrates its Tenth Birthday this year and to mark the occasion the festival will connect some of history's greatest chamber works with several of Lincolnshire's architectural and historical gems.

Event 1: Wednesday, 14th August, 7.30pm at the County Assembly Rooms, Bailgate, Lincoln. Mozart, Liszt, Mayerl and Shostokovich appear on the programme. £16/£15/£8U14. This concert will be recorded for broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

Who is going to today's concert at the Drill Hall? Josh Wilkinson (Trumpet & Piano) and Jane O'Farrell (Piano) will be playing works from across the centuries. Mozart, William Lloyd Webber, Debussy and Mendelssohn to name but a few of the composers included. Tickets £6 in advance, £7 on the door. Usual starting time of 1.05pm. See you there.

A Peaceful and Happy New Year to all our followers. Next concert is on Tuesday, February 5th, at 1.05pm in the Drill Hall as usual. Lincoln Minster School will be performing.

Update: The December concert to be held in St John's Church on the Ermine East will definitely be on Tuesday, December 11th. Tickets should be available now from the Drill Hall, there had been a problem with getting the event uploaded onto their computer, but if not Linda Richardson has them for sale, at her usual contact address and email.

And finally... Ashley Wass is returning to Lincoln, hurrah. He will be giving a recital at the County Assembly Rooms in Bailgate on Friday, 16th November at 7.30pm. The programme will include the Liszt transcription of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony and, excitingly, a new CD, recorded by Ashley, will have been released by then making it available for sale AND signing on the night of the concert. Not to be missed. Tickets £17/£16 from the Drill Hall.
