WOAH! how long is it since we posted?!!! We are very much still busy with parties🥳- so busy in fact, there has been so little time to show you all the exciting things we have been doing! There's almost been parties every weekend since the New Year now life is getting back to near normal with less restrictions.

🥳🥳🥳 Our first birthday party in a lonnnnggggg time - Thanks Covid!🙄

The wonderful Raphi chose to launch rocket poppers 🚀make rainbow fizz 🌈and race with his pals to blow up balloons with a chemical reaction! 🎈We were so busy we forgot to take pictures!
It's so good to be back!! 💕

Time has flown and another crazy year passes. Its been a little quiet on the WP science stars front with covid sadly, BUT it seems like birthday parties are picking up again which is exciting! 🥳
If you fancy a memorable party with a difference dont hesitate to get in contact we have some wonderful experiments to choose from!!

Lovely morning spent in the company of some awesome scientists at South Ferriby school on Thursday! We dissected flowers and looked at how water is transported from roots to leaves 🌻🌷⚘

A lovely morning at Winteringham Primary today, a fab set of students and a bit of "The Wonderful world of Plants" to brighten up a drizzly rainy day outside.

🎉Happy New Year!🎉

Well.... 2020, you've not been a hoot thats for sure. A year of learning to adapt and valuing what really matters in life.

To everyone who has supported us this year, those of you who have booked on workshops, those that have donated workshop locations, those that gave their time to help out, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts 💕

This year especially has illustrated the importance of engaging young people in science, to shape and model our next generation of scientists so that we can have a brighter future in many ways.

To the R&D scientists, epidemiologists, microbiologists, chemists, virologists, doctors, nurses, the list is endless...

We salute you.

So here's to next year 🥂 may 2021 bring good health, happiness, laughter, success and many more Science workshops than this year!!

Another workshop complete! An extra messy one today too!
We made a witches brew, ghosty bubbles and spidery fluffy slime!
All the children were fabulous and it was an absolute privilege to have their company today!

🤞🤞 we can continue with a Christmas workshop! ☃️🎄🎅

👻👻Halloween Workshop information for tomorrow!👻👻

1.) Please follow the WP Science arrow signs once you have parked to find your way to the gymnasium
2.) Please use track and trace QR code on entry
3.) As you drop off your child/ren please observe social distancing and adults must wear a mask during drop off and collection
4.) After you have dropped your child/ren, please make your way out of the gymnasium following the one way system.
5.) The tables in which the children will be working at have plenty of space for the children to spread out.They will all be facing the front so limited face to face conversations.
6.) Please ensure your child has sanitised their hands (santiser provided) on entry to the gymnasium. There will be opportunities to wash hands/sanitise between experiments also.
7.) Each child will be given their own set of equipment in most experiments thus limiting the need to share items.

8.) MOST IMPORTANTLY- if you or anyone in your household are experiencing any covid symptoms, PLEASE do not come along to the workshop. If you message us to let us know you are not coming prior to the session, you can use your booking payment for a future workshop.

All these regulations are in line to ensure you are all covid safe. Don't worry, we will still have loads of fun and mess!!!

For those children who may be anxious about parents/carers leaving, you may of course stay, but we ask that as much as possible, you remain situated on the chairs provided.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!! Who is excited?! I know we are!!! 🙌

WORKSHOP UPDATE

After reading and re- reading the guidance on the new tier 2 situation, we can confirm that the Halloween workshop WILL still go ahead. These workshops are classed as educational so we are able to continue as near to normal as we can. There will be another rearrangement of tables to allow even smaller groups/pairs to share a table (mostly siblings and friends arriving together will be situated together)
To further back up the decision, organised youth sport is still allowed indoors so we are continuing too.

Further information for arrangments and covid guidelines will be published tomorrow.
