We are a family run business providing hot healthy school meals to primary schools in and around the Lincoln area.

There’s just under 2 weeks left before the deadline to order your children’s school meals.
Meals need to be ordered and confirmed by noon Thursday 28th August.

Our last school has finally served its last meal of this school year. So we can officially say…
We hope you all have a lovely summer break, and enjoy a well deserved rest. Good luck to all the year 6’s moving on to your new secondary schools.
As you can see the Kidz from the kitchen are already enjoying the beach.
See you all again in September.

Job Overview
To keep the kitchen clean and tidy and to help with basic food preparation if required.

SCHOOL TERM TIME ONLY

Duties

Wash and clean cooking equipment including utensils, plates and storage boxes.

Handle, sort, store and distribute food items

Prepare and cook foodstuffs including salads and desserts

Sort and dispose of rubbish and recycling

Organise laundering of kitchen linen

Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Strong attention to detail and cleanliness,

Must be physically fit as job can include heavy lifting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21 per hour pro rata

Hours: 12pm-3.45pm four days, 11am-3.45pm one day

Total hours: 19.75 per week

Monday to Friday

Tuesday 4th March (Shrove Tuesday) – Dessert will be Pancake and Ice Cream
Thursday 6th March (World Book Day) - Main option, BFG's H.O.T.D.O.G served with Gruffalo Tusks and Jack's Magic Beans.
Thursday 6th March (World Book Day) - Vegetarian option, BFG's Vegan H.O.T.D.O.G served with Gruffalo Tusks and Jack's Magic Beans.
Thursday 6th March (World Book Day) - Jacket option, Supertato's Spectacular Jacket with Jack's Magic Beans.
Thursday 6th March (World Book Day) - Dessert options, Charlie's Chocolate Cookie, or Oompa Fresh Fruit, or Loompa Yoghurt
Friday 21st March (Red Nose Day) - Dessert option, Red Nose Day Cake
Cut off for the first week of term is Thursday 20th February 2025 at 12 noon.

To avoid disappointment, please ensure you confirm you order by this date as we are unable to take late orders.

We are looking for a delivery driver/pot washer to join our fantastic team.

• Hours 10:30am to 3:45pm Monday to Friday
• School term time only
• Starting 24th February 2025

The successful applicant will need to be a confident driver as they will be driving Transit style vans. The work requires good physical health, as you will be delivering prepared hot meals in heavy boxes to schools in Lincoln and surrounding villages. You will then collect from the schools after their lunchtime service and return to the kitchen, then help wash and clean the returned equipment and end of day clean down.

You can now order meals online for next term. The order cut off for the first week of term, is 12 noon Thursday 29th August. Unfortunately we will be unable to accept late orders, so please ensure you order in time if you want meals.

That's all folks, for the majority of our schools. the summer holidays have begun. We hope you all have a lovely summer break, hopefully this sun will stay with us a little while longer. To the schools who are still open next week, it's only a week, it will fly by 🙂
Thank you to all children, parents and school staff, enjoy the rest!!
Good luck to all the year 2's and 6's moving up to new schools, a new chapter awaits.
Finally the biggest of thank yous to all the staff at Kidz Kitchen once again you aced it, we love you all, enjoy the summer and we'll see you in September.
