Honesty post ❤️
Sorry I haven’t posted much about where we are or what we’re doing lately. I’ve been a bit in my head, so I wanted to explain why…
A month or so ago, I had an uncomfortable run-in with another food trader at a poorly organised event. There was confusion over what we were selling, despite me making it clear that I sell both pasta and burgers.
What made the situation particularly uncomfortable was that they seemed to know a lot about where I had been trading, what I had been selling and what events I had coming up — details I had shared on this page over time. It felt as though they had been keeping a very close eye on my page for a while, and that was unsettling.
Things became intimidating, and I decided I wasn’t prepared for a food truck turf war 😂. As much as I love my trailer, it wasn’t worth spending the weekend feeling uncomfortable.
The experience also made me think about how much business information I share publicly. I’ve always loved posting about upcoming events, the trailer, the food and all the Pasta & Beyond chaos 😂❤️ — but do I really need to share everything, all the time?
So I want to ask:
Are you one of my customers? 👀
Are you mainly here for the food, trailer and foodie content, or do you follow us to find out where we’ll be next?
That makes a big difference to how I use this page. I don’t want one awkward experience to change what I share, but I also don’t want to make it too easy for ‘the haters🤣’ to keep tabs on us if customers don’t need event details weeks in advance.
