I’m doing my very first ‘virtual’ wedding fayre on Saturday at 10.30am and 1pm at Sutton Town Hall. How times have moved on eh...?

No setting up of exhibition show stands in the early hours. Standing for 10 hours straight, (foot and back ache). Talking constantly to couples and Brides about all things wedding related. Exhausted, and wondering of course - how many wedding bookings you will have from the ‘exposure’.

Now, you do your ‘piece to camera’, stand back, and watch for emails or the phone to ring...!
Bonus - no packing away when you’re absolutely exhausted at the end of the Fayre!

Although there is no ‘touch and feel’ aspect, no tastings of cake or catering, no perfume from the flowers, and the 1:1 personal touch, it’s the way forward....!

Call me old fashioned, but hey, I’m the planner of the wedding - I’m embracing it ALL.

Finally!! My dream has come true. When I stood on that stage in 2007 after ten years of saying that our wedding laws have to change - today I read THIS!! Oh my goodness me. Dreams do come true - for couples and for Wedding Celebrants!! After seeing how well this works in Canada, I have petitioned and written countless letters asking for this. And here we are!! Oh my - happiness is this day.

The Law Commission has published its consultation on wedding law. It has a number of very significant proposed changes to weddings in England and Wales.
