Our Story

From little beads great oaks grow...

Buddhasbeads, as originally named, was established in 2013. A small home based business designing beautiful beaded jewellery by Caroline Sowerby, a young mum of two, who was inspired by her Daughters creative talents for tie dying clothes and promoting them in the school yard and also inspired by her late Grandfathers, well established family run

Goldsmiths, founded in 1952 and still thriving today! By 2014 Buddhasbeads expanded into other handmade crafts. Rapidly growing, the business outgrew its little name as Caroline allowed it to take its natural path of growth as it developed into an artisan event service this allowing Caroline to support other small businesses within her local community. By late 2015 , with a shop small ethos, Caroline has formed Crafty Events to better reflect what has become a successful enterprise and home to one of the biggest and most prestigious craft shows in Lancashire, The BIG Lancashire Craft Show. In 2020 we rebranded as Crafty Events Made GB � and launched our new website in 2021. We are set to grow bigger and better! From little beads, great oaks truly grow...
