Preston opera are performing Carmen this week - come and watch and if you like it come and sing with us for our next concert.

Were just about to start our dress rehearsal but we thought it’s time to reveal our Carmen, the wonderful Imogen Garner!

IMOGEN GARNER - CARMEN
Mezzo-soprano Imogen Garner Imogen originally studied Economics at Sheffield University, then following a year’s teacher training changed career and studied at the RNCM. Chester-based, Imogen has covered several roles with English National Opera and has enjoyed a long association with the Buxton Festival, where she has covered a large number of roles and has sung in many operas and concerts. She has sung as a soloist in live broadcasts on BBC Radio 4 and has performed many roles for opera companies
around the country. Roles include Marcellina, Dorabella, Orfeo, Mrs Grose, Third Lady and Berta. Imogen enjoys giving song recitals at venues throughout the North West and is a regular oratorio soloist with choral societies. This summer, Imogen will sing Marcellina in The Marriage of Figaro for Heritage Opera.
She is delighted to be making her debut with Preston Opera.

And thats all our principals revealed! We hope to see you throughout this week for our fabulous show! With full orchestra and staging, this will be our first production in just over 2 years so it is not one to be missed!! See you in Seville!

The Christmas tunes are on and Vicky’s hands are being cut to shreds making more of our traditional door wreaths. All of our door wreaths are handmade from scratch and all a little bit different and beautiful. There is still time to order but you’ll need to be quick 🎄
