It was my birthday yesterday and I was super lucky to spend time with family and friends, and for all the treats I received, but it was more about me giving….

This week is Loneliness Awareness Week. Organised by The Marmalade Trust and supported by florists nationwide, we want to use the power of flowers to create moments of kindness, connection and community.

I never take for granted that I always have someone close I can talk to, but this isn’t the case for many. So i’ve been leaving little bouquets in places in the hope they bring smiles and connections, conversations and hope to some people this week.

I absolutely loved creating this 4ft casket spray last week. Filled with lush green mixed foliages, faux and dried flowers, dried seed pods and grasses. Such a beautiful combination. Re-crafted into 5 bunches following the service. The wake was held at The Gun, Gun Hill, where I set-up a vase to match the spray, and a decorated photo board too. Xx

Apologies for the radio silence but I’ve been super busy since the half term break. Wanting to share a few of the recent goodbyes I’ve played a part in though. This large cross was truly beautiful in a pastel mix. Gorgeous garden roses, ammi, nigella, astrantia and scented with lilac sweet peas. Xx

Saturdays wedding, at the beautiful , was for my cousin. How lucky were they to have the most perfect weather! The stunning wisteria was in full bloom and the perfect backdrop for the outside ceremony. This set the tone for the colour palette for all the other floral displays. Bridal and 3 bridesmaid bouquets contained lilac and white roses, lissianthus, tulips, limonium, astrantia, astilbe, spray roses and eucalyptus. White rose, limonium and eucalyptus buttonhole for the groom and limonium and eucalyptus buttonholes for the 3 groomsmen.
Large posy arrangements for the table centres, and a large long and low display for the top table.
(Check out the ceiling in the reception room!!)
It was all just perfect.

Not only have O2 been working on an upgrade to our local mast which has caused no end of problems this week, but our internet has now gone down at home!
