I’m absolutely TEAM FLORIST on this one.
The customer, who was a Love Island winner, went into an independent florist, spent £20 on a bouquet, then took to social media to describe it as “pathetic.”
I’ve seen a picture of said bouquet and for £20, from a florist shop, there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.
I feel I need to explain a few things here …
💐 A £20 bouquet gets you-
The flowers, foliage, bespoke wrapping, nice ribbon, flower food…
A fraction will be to help cover rent, vat, electric, water…
The time taken to cut and condition the fresh flowers when they’ve arrived from the wholesalers…
And the all time important skill and years of experience of the person making it.
And after all that… He spent £20!!
Considering he’d won Love Island and presumably has a few more pounds than the average person, he still felt the need to secretly film in this independent florist and then bitch about them online 😠
When you buy flowers from a florist and gift them, I’d like to think the receiver will know that time, love and care has been taken in crafting them into a lovely bunch.
I love that this florist has made her point, and made a big deal over this.
