Milad Yousofi playing live at Battle of Lewes as the prelude to AC/DC’s Chris Slade and THE CHRIS SLADE TIMELINE 7pm to 7.45pm Saturday 10th May, Convent Field

Milad Yousofi is a London-based rubab player, composer, and music producer specialising in contemporary Afghan folk, world-jazz, and fusion music.

Milad is dedicated to introducing and showcasing Afghan musical traditions to global audiences.

He has been invited to perform at prestigious venues, including the Houses of Parliament, the White House and exclusive gatherings for King Charles III, heads of state, ambassadors, and other international dignitaries. He has also created music for radio and television programs, as well as films and theater productions.

The rubab, often referred to as “the lion of instruments,” is a short-necked, double-chambered lute and the national instrument of Afghanistan.

Milad is dedicated to promoting the unique sounds of the rubab and evolving the genre with his distinctive musical experience.
