The Scottish Vintage Bus Museum volunteers are hosting their annual open event this weekend.

From 10am to 5pm on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August visitors will get the chance to see and ride buses from the SVBM's home fleet aswell as many other buses from all over the UK.

Right bus fans, we need you!

For the first time since Bus Bundle started we are thrilled to announce that a printed event programme will be available for the 2026 edition.

However, in order to fill the pages of this programme we need bus photos, lots and lots of bus photos. If you'd like to have some of your own photos featured then simply send them to us via this page.

The next Fife Heritage Railway event is fast approaching, Diesel Day will take place on Sunday 27th July and will include, Diesel locomotive hauled passenger trains, Driving experience, Model railway displays, Stalls, Tyre Park, Cafe and Shop.

Free Bus Trips!

As part of the 2025 Leven Rally there will be free bus trips on offer to the event visitors thanks to the owner of ex Lothian Leyland Olympian "E333 MSG" which now takes the form of a half open top party bus.

The Leven Rally 2025

On Sunday 29th June the Leven Rally will return to the Fife Heritage Railway, this event will include a day of classic cars, bikes, tractors, trucks and other vehicles on display.

Steam/diesel hauled passenger trains will run frequently and there will also be free bus trips on an open top bus.

One month ago today our mystery vehicle "J888 CTG" arrived onsite after reaching the end of a long journey from Newcastle.

Shortly after this the Olympian could be seen on Anstruther's coastline operating the "Chippy Express", a fun excursion for the FHR team members.

An hour or so later we returned to the FHR where J888 CTG met SN04 NHC for the first time!

We can now reveal to you the identity of the mystery bus that will replace ALX 200 "P701 BTA"

City's tri axle Olympian "J888 CTG" arrived onsite yesterday afternoon and will first be heading out to Halbeath to run the 11:28 departure to the FHR.

*Please note that this means Trip 3 from Halbeath to FHR and Trip 1 back to Halbeath will now be operated by a bus that has step entrance only*

Unfortunately Team 701 Preservation Society ALX 200 "P701 BTA" can NO LONGER join us this weekend, but fear not, a very nice replacement bus is coming in it's place, said replacement will operate ALL of the shuttle services that were originally allocated to 701.

*Please note that this replacement vehicle has step entry rather than low entry, this will effect Trip 3 from Halbeath to the FHR departing at 11:28 and Trip 1 returning to Halbeath which leaves the FHR at 15:00*

As for those of you trying to work out what bus this could possibly be, here's a clue...

This vehicle has wheels! 🤔😮
