As well as sector awards, you can vote for New Business of the Year, open to any business that has launched in the town centre in the last 18 months.
The Lerwick Town Centre Champion Award is all about individuals – those who deliver outstanding customer service, show ongoing dedication, or make a real difference to the town centre experience.

Christmas kicks off officially today!
Lerwick town centre Christmas parade and light switch on begins around 3.15pm when Santa will arrive on the RNLI lifeboat at Victoria Pier.

Congratulations to all 11 of our recent SIA Door Supervisor candidates who have, today, been informed that they successfully passed all their exams and are now able to move to the next stage of applying for their Door Supervisor licence 🥳
Thanks again to Michael at Highland Training Group Ltd for delivery of the course, and Shetland Tall Ships Ltd for enabling the course to be organised.

A massive well done to the group who completed the SIA Door Supervisor course last week - delivered by Michael Murdoch of Highland Training Group (front left)
Remaining funding from Shetland Islands Council and EventScotland following the Tall Ships Races event in 2023 has enabled this training to take place, which will provide locally based door security for larger events.
