It’s only a button… until it isn’t.
One minute the groom is getting ready, the next his tux button decides it’s had enough.
This is exactly why I carry my wedding emergency kit to every wedding.
Loose buttons, broken straps, dress mishaps, missing bits and all those little things that can suddenly become a problem on the day.
So yes, sometimes my job involves sewing a groom back into his tux.
But this is also a good example of what having a wedding coordinator actually gives you.
It’s not just about creating a timeline or telling suppliers where to be. It’s having someone there who notices the problems, deals with them and keeps the day moving without the couple having to get involved.
You’ve spent months planning your wedding. On the day, you shouldn’t be chasing suppliers, fixing buttons or sorting out last-minute problems.
That’s my job.
