ONE YEAR ON -
HOW THE EVENTS INDUSTRY HAS HAD TO
TRANSFORM AND DIVERSIFY

The events industry has had to adjust very rapidly since March 2020 and one year has now passed and the way we deliver events or presentations has changed immensely to how we were working one year ago.

Wow where has that year gone? To reminisce on how the market has adapted to the change in such a short space of time has been incredible and is testament to this amazing creative industry, we are all part of.

Diversifying is now the name of the game and even though there is a light at the end of the tunnel it is all about adapting to a new way of normal and embracing the way forward.

Whether it will be a 50:50 split between live, virtual or hybrid events – time will only tell how companies decide to move forward to deliver their products and services to their existing and prospective clients as well as their workforce.

Interesting times are ahead and those who are still part of this amazing industry will adapt and create the best events ever, however, these are delivered.

We are resilient and robust and that is what makes the events industry stand out amongst the crowds. We support and encourage each other to be the best in what we do.

Rest assured we are here to support, guide and deliver your events to the highest stand. So, whether you are looking for a venue, entertainment, a speaker, or someone to organise the whole event for your company, then please contact: Linda Elsdon - [email protected].

With the ongoing pandemic the Events Industry Sector has obviously been badly affected.

Many venues in London have invested in studios where they are now able to offer virtual/hybrid events and some can offer livestreaming as well.

Currently production and filming can still take place so venues can accept these bookings.

Studios have come into their own and are more prominent at this time. They are classed as business premises so virtual events can still take place. Please bear in mind Covid-19 requirements must be in place alongside the restriction of the numbers being on-site, namely the speakers, crew and staff only.

As with everything during this time things can change in the blink of an eye.

If anyone wishes to discuss further or require any venue sourcing please contact me for more information.

The above information is subject to change and should be aware of the risks associated with booking venues at this time.

Effective Communication for Virtual Meetings
Tuesday November 24th, 1500 hours, UK time

A look at both the "push and pull" skills for Personal Effectiveness including Body Language and Voice and the relationship building needed when negotiating. This session will cover Active Listening and Powerful Questioning with an emphasis on Virtual Meetings. Our speaker is Ken Lodge. Ken started his career in the corporate world working in office management, accountancy and sales and marketing. However, he decided to leave the business world behind and follow his dream to go to drama school and become a professional actor. As a result he was introduced to Professional Roleplay and developed a new passion. The communication skills of an actor took him full circle back into the corporate world as a trainer, coach and facilitator working with various psychological models alongside his voice-work and acting to bring a total communication package to his clients.
