My buttercream recipe is a 1:2 ratio ✨

Ingredients:
250g room temperature soft butter
500g sifted icing sugar

Method:
Beat the butter in a stand mixer for about 20 minutes, use a spatular to scape down the sides every 5 minutes. Make sure you get right down to the bottom of the bowl!
Add in the icing sugar and mix on low until all is incorporated.
Use a cocktail stick and put the tiniest bit of Periwinkle Fractal Gel Food Colouring on the end and add that to the buttercream.
The purple/ blue undertones in the gel counteracts the yellow in the butter.
You can always add more but you can never take away so do this little by little until you get a beautiful white buttercream.
Colour does develop!
Let the buttercream rest for a little while - 30 minutes at least before using.

Just done a mini macaron photoshoot and I'm obsessed 😍

Oh macarons... you have been quite the journey!

These delicate almond cookies tested my patience more times than I can count but perfecting these little beauties has been incredibly rewarding! ✨

These particular macarons are simple but rich in flavour.
