Did you know that the very large Village Hall mosaic was the springboard for our amazing village mosaic trail?
IMO the VH committee are brilliant and in 2026/27, its members are now hoping to provide some financial support (and a mosaic plaque!) showing Belton’s community ethos) for a pastor’s young family in war torn Myanmar. This would enable them to build a much needed home and shelter for local folk in need. Please read all about them and a Belton villager’s connection in the barcode on the poster below? Don’t we all need a safe roof above our heads?

Good morning lovely followers!
Please Save the Date!

Have you seen my post about a proposed Oompah night at the village hall?

Well, I just want to say that there are two reasons that I want to organise a fun night for the village.
The first is to say again, a huge thank to everyone for supporting us with the mosaic project by allowing mosaics to be attached to your houses and property and helping to find it through the coffee morning.
The other, is to help raise funds to support a young family with four children, many, many miles away from Belton, that unlike us very fortunate villagers, have no home to place a mosaic upon - and whose situation is dire.
I will be posting more details on this family’s situation and reasons for supporting them in the next week or so on my own page so if you’re not already my friend and would like to follow their progress, please friend me. ❤️

Meantime, I hope you will all come to the oompah night (dates and details will be confirmed shortly) but likely to be on the 27th June in the village hall.

Thumbs up please, if you’re game to “Oompah” with us! It will be a night of fun and laughter! (And plenty of beer!) 😂

It was a very exciting Tuesday morning for the Belton Mosaic Makers as BBC Radio Leicester presenter Ady Dayman came to Belton to check out our mosaic trail! Needless to say he was very impressed, especially with the humongous one on the village hall wall done by lots of you villagers!
And…he has promised to share details of the trail amongst his media friends on other stations and TV!
Think we should make it onto Sky News alongside NASA… ??? Cast your vote with a thumbs up below 🫣😂

Can you imagine having a street in your village where all the houses set on fire - and the fire brigade refused to come out…😩🫣🙈! You can find out why they wouldn’t on the trail!
