From hip-hop and amapiano to baile funk and UK club sounds, every set is an invitation to discover something new. But her biggest achievement isn’t just the crowds she pulls, it’s the conversations she sparks, the artists she spotlights and the worldwide network of music lovers she’s brought together.

For our Head of Creative, seeing her host RAF-SAPERRA Made In Motion event made him realise the impact Jyoty has on the scene, with Raf also recognising her community building efforts. And props to Jyoty for delivering such a well articulated panel talk.

In an age of algorithms, Jyoty proves the best music discoveries still come from people.

For our head of creative, the film was one of a small few sparks of inspiration where he saw his love for football being intertwined with growing up South Asian. It may have come out in 2002 but the film is still revolutionary. And the soundtrack serves as a powerful tool taking us on a journey. For our head of creative, the sound represented his childhood and the start of his love for music. He talks us through his experience growing up during the peak of Punjabi Garage. With the reemergence of the sound thanks to the likes of and songs like N.L.S. by and .music , we are now seeing the sound create a new era and space for South Asians in spaces beyond our wildest dreams.
