What a wonderful experience for our young people, we took them to see ‘The Music Is Black, A British Story’ exhibition at the V&A East V&A East and the Tate Modern . We have had such a great day with our young people and learned a lot. We saw all the major attractions on a bus tour on the way home and had a lot of fun. Our young people got so much from this, a massive thank you to Martin Trust for your generous financial support that made this trip possible. Thank you to our amazing tutors .ley.samuel Marcus Joseph Amanda and Evie Ridgeway ❤️ for making this such a memorable experience ❤️✨🎶 Martin Charitable Trust tatemodern_official

IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW ARE OR WERE INVOLVED IN THE JAZZ SCENE FROM 1920’s - 2020’s WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!!
We are researching 100 years of jazz in the East Midlands, we will be working in
Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Lincoln and Northampton.
We will create a series of documentaries that will culminate in a regional tour with interactive and digital arts exhibition and jazz heritage show. This will be turned into a feature length documentary and website at the end of the project.
Expect it to be informative, creative, dazzling, unique and innovative in true Cosmopolitan Arts style ❤️🎶✨

If you are or was involved in the jazz scene, or have parents/grandparents who have a story to tell please get in touch. We would like to interview people, hear their stories and see their photographs and films. We are looking at artists, musicians, dancers, singers, venues, fashion, photography and social history, if you think you have something to share please get in touch - DM us here or email us at
